Chapter 9. Being true to yourself is impossible to quit!

Being true to yourself is impossible to quit.  The Wisdom Diet is based on being as true to yourself as you possibly can be, therefore The Wisdom Diet approach itself is also impossible to quit.

“The beauty of The Wisdom Diet is that it is impossible to give up on because it is impossible for us to give up striving to be true to ourselves, which is the cornerstone of the approach….

So an approach to weight management that is based on that can fit seamlessly into our lives!” – James Blacker, taken from The Wisdom Diet

Again, what we are aiming for, is the right mental, emotional and psychological approach – that will allow all other good things to flourish.  And not just as somewhere to get to, but for this to actually also be the way.

…And Therefore Impossible to Fail Also

As The Wisdom Diet is based on the concept of being true to ourselves, not only is it impossible to quit, it is also impossible to fail, because you cannot permanently fail at being true to yourself.  Maybe in a given moment you can do something that you are not happy represents the real you, but this can only ever last a moment, until the next one.  There are always more moments.

So we have an approach that is particularly user-friendly, and that we cannot possibly permanently fail at, and will never quit at.  Even in the moments when we think or feel we are trying too hard, to honour that and relax is still being true to self, and is still the most desirable and most effective, most useful thing to do in that particular scenario.

“How can you fail to strive to be true to yourself? If, in any moment, you wish to change the way you are thinking or acting, you can simply do so.” – James Blacker, taken from The Wisdom Diet

So you see, in reality, the whole approach to dieting and weight management is one that can support us, and hold us to our truest self, rather than hinder us negatively.  It can all be supportive and positive – it is all simply about how we think about it.
