Appendix: Beliefs

As an additional extra to the ten chapter concepts, I also include an appendix on beliefs, which give 19 of the beliefs I hold of relevance to dieting and weight management.

Beliefs are the cornerstone of our activities, they also influence our emotional responses, and so I have sought here to pick out of my mind those that I hold that help and support the processes.

As mentioned right at the beginning, we effectively become our own ‘psychological architects’, and our task is to create or return to the right mental and emotional status or inner environment that supports us, so these additional 19 beliefs will go a long way to helping you get started with that.
